We are looking for an enthusiastic and results focussed individual to join our Central West team as a Territory Sales Manager. This role is responsible for growing our aggregates and concrete business throughout Central West NSW by identifying opportunities to sell the Hanson brand to prospective customers, as well as increasing share of wallet spend from existing customers.
The position is based at our East Guyong Quarry (between Bathurst and Orange) with responsibilities covering the broader Central West market.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Territory Sales Manager role has a competitive remuneration package on offer comprising of salary, super, company vehicle, phone, laptop, and a sales incentive bonus program.
Key Tasks / Accountabilities:
- Generate new business customers by ensuring the efficient follow up of all potential customer leads
- Maintain a pipeline of further business activity from existing customers
- Formulate, develop and coordinate the delivery of account plans for existing and potential customers that achieve positive business outcomes
- Complete structured call plans with prospects through face to face presentations and networking, ensuring effective communication of Hanson’s value proposition
- Achieve territory / account sales volume targets as well as new product volume targets
- Research and formulate sales plans for innovative products in new markets
- Regularly conduct market analysis and gather market intelligence within the industry
Skills / Competencies:
- Exceptional sales and sales process management skills
- Excellent product knowledge, including awareness of attributes and performance
- Ability to effectively construct and deliver a deal with a diverse prospective and existing customer base
- Strong presentation, negotiating and influencing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of emotional resilience and a positive attitude
- Perform effectively in a team environment
Experience in a sales management role within a related or similar industry would be highly regarded. Tertiary qualifications in sales, management or engineering preferred but not essential.
