Australian Crane and Machinery is a leading provider of new and used cranes and truck mounted travel towers to the Australia, New Zealand and Oceania markets.  We are a longstanding dealer for new and used cranes, and we also manufacture and distribute our own range of truck mounted travel towers.  ACM additionally has service and sales depots in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.

We're looking for an enthusiastic used equipment salesperson to join our business, based in our head office in Campbellfield, Melbourne (relocating to Derrimut in 2019).  The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.  There will be extensive travel required interstate and overseas to visit customers and attend trade shows.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sourcing used equipment including cranes and EWPs for sale, through client contact, cold calling, auctions etc
  • Maintaining and establishing relationships with existing and new clients
  • Preparation of quotes, build up sheets, and advertising material including online newsletters
  • Liaise with technical personnel to ensure machinery meets required standards for sale
  • Updating of sales progress in our company CRM software
  • Adhere to our health, safety, and quality management requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Customer service driven
  • Excellent standard of written and verbal communications
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Prior experience with CRM software viewed favourably
  • High level of initiative, ability to work unsupervised
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the capital equipment sector
  • Current Australian drivers licence and passport (or ability to obtain)
  • Crane licence, WP licence or HR licence viewed favourably
