Weir Minerals Australia Ltd, a member of the Weir Group PLC, is the market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of slurry pumps and allied minerals processing equipment to the mining industry, both within Australia and throughout the world.
We are seeking a self-motivated Area Manager to grow our business by adding real value to the Goldfields region customers. This role will be based in our Kalgoorlie office.
Reporting to the Sales Manager – Goldfields region, your key objectives will be in providing exemplary customer support and driving business development activities across the product portfolio and aftermarket business within an existing Mining customer base. Regular travel will be required.
As an Area Manager, you will manage customer satisfaction by adding value to their operations. This includes providing regular assistance on site, technical problem solving, optimising equipment, processing and material selections and the promotion of the range of products within the Weir portfolio.

The successful candidate will:
- Possess drive to achieve and extend their technical sales career.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to build excellent relationships with stakeholders of all levels on customer sites.
- Hold tertiary or trade qualifications in metallurgy/engineering or similar.
- Knowledge of Mineral Processing circuits is preferable.
- Hold a high level of integrity and a strong and adaptable customer focus.
