About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive team player to join the Industrial sales team in an Internal Sales Support role. Reporting to the Industrial Sales Manager, you will be responsible for servicing a large customer base. The primary objective of this role involves handling incoming sales enquiries, providing upbeat customer service, technical assistance, processing orders in CRM and providing quotations to customers in response to enquiries received. This position requires the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders including operations and dispatch, to ensure delivery of product to customers in full and on time, every time.
You will also provide support to the External Sales team to maintain and further develop positive customer relationships.
  
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Handling inbound customer calls and helping customers with pricing, further information, and order status.
  • Providing support to the external and internal sales representatives with information, quotations, and system updates.
  • Completing proposals and providing technical information and processing of orders in an efficient manner.
  • Processing and following (or assisting in following up) of proposals to clients.
  • Engaging and maintaining relationships with existing customers and generating sales leads.
  • Maintaining document control and preparation of reports as required.
  • Attending weekly sales and production meetings with the team and ensure prospects/deals are being followed through adequately. 
  • Maintaining and assigning leads, sales opportunities and customer intelligence data into CRM database.
  • Converting incoming enquires to sales.
To be successful for this role you must have the following:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers.
  • An understanding of the sales process, and experience in internal phone sales and selling.
  • A commitment to providing quality customer service, flexibility and personal drive. 
  • A technical aptitude, with a keen interest in the Industrial and Manufacturing industries. Previous experience within these industries is preferred.
  • A focus on achieving team sales performance metrics, through personal contribution and teamwork.
