Dietary Supplements (DS) is a priority segment for the Human Nutrition Business Group (HNH) with ambitious growth targets. This highly competitive, complex and dynamic segment, with huge opportunities for growth in the Asia-Pacific region, and requires a strong candidate to build and deliver our growth strategy.  For this position in particular, we are seeking for an individual based in Australia, however a flexible location such as in Singapore can be discussed.

 

The Challenge

  • Accountable for DS Asia-Pacific Marketing, Business Development, Sales and Commercial targets.  Lead segment sales teams and support functions across APAC through strategic influencing, working through a matrix organization.        
  • Identify innovation opportunities, lead concept and prototype development for the segment.  Develop and manage a portfolio of innovative customer projects in Asia-Pacific that will grow our share of the DS business.
  • Excellent project management skills to ensure growth and conversion of business development funnel for DS in the region to ensure future growth targets are met.
  • Expertise in consumer trends, concept development and customer-brand centric marketing activities, and leverage through targeted use of the Nutrition Innovation Centre and Healthy Marketing Team best practices.

 

The Ideal

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in marketing, sales or science.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in B-to-B markets or B to C in the human nutrition, dietary or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven track-record on marketing/concept content generation and roll-out
  • Ability to identify consumer insights, business and other opportunities, define innovation strategies, transform them into concepts and achieve their implementation
  • Extensive experience in planning, implementing and managing market development activities, including comprehensive marketing plans
  • Ability to build quality and trusting customer relationships through strong interpersonal skills and integrity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively deal with different cultures
  • Project management experience
  • Strong commercial and business acumen to translate opportunity in business results
  • Process driven, good interpersonal skills, thrives in a matrix environment
