The Client:

Our client is an International supply chain company who provide a suite of services to cater for the logistical requirements of both large corporations and SME’s. They have a strong presence in the Australian market and a wide network of infrastructure which allows them to offer a tailored solution at a competitive price. In Australia they have grown organically during the last decade and are now set to continue this trend in to 2015 and beyond. They are renowned throughout their industry as having one of the best training programmes in the industry. As a result they are able to reap the rewards of recruiting the highest calibre sales people as opposed to restricting themselves to just recruiting people from the competition.

The Role:

As a key part of the Victorian sales team, you will manage a multi-million dollar portfolio of accounts offering various different logistical and supply chain solutions. You will be responsible for managing relations with your clients from a grassroots level with the likes of a warehouse or dispatch manager, through to middle management with logistics, supply chain and procurement managers right up to C-level relations with directors. In addition you will be tasked with winning new accounts targeting large FMCG companies to manufacturing clients through to the IT sector so it is important you can adapt your style to fit in with different audiences and different markets, as a result, you will gain a good understanding of the inner logistics of a variety of different sectors.  You will be responsible for relationship management, contract negotiation, service delivery and implementation and of course, cross-selling and upselling different service offerings.

The Applicant:

You will be bright, hardworking and self-motivated. You will already have 1-5 years’ experience in managing a portfolio of accounts and you will have a good grasp of solution-based selling. It is not necessary that you have sales experience within the logistics and supply chain sector although of course this would be well received. Previous top performers have come from the likes of recruitment, packaging, facilities services and FMCG key account management. Full training is provided.
