With the role out of our new market leading water management innovative product across the Australian landscape, we are eagerly looking for an energetic and commercially driven Business Development Managers, who have the hunting mentality to get our products in to as many intelligent buildings as possible.

Soon to the market (Q1-19), this product will sell itself, and we are eagerly teaming up with new and existing customers to execute sales plans against during this launch phase At the same time, we are creating our high performing team of SMART COMMAND® business development professionals, in three states (QLD, NSW and VIC). Candidates with a trade qualification and/or extensive experiences in the service industry will see success in this role.


Requirements


Being the subject matter expert across our team of capable sales colleagues, the Business Development Managers, will have the technical smarts to be able to educate our entire internal sales network and work with their technical audience of architects, designers, builders, facility managers and the like. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with developers, cost planners, consultants, builders, architects, plumbers etc. to ensure ease of integration of our system into the project ensuring compliance with specifications and works by other trades are understood and aligned.
  • Develop and maintain external relationships with key industry clients and influencers to ensure that business opportunities are identified and executed.
  • Support the extended Sales Team; developing their knowledge of the SMART COMMAND® innovations and features and technically supporting them with the implementation of the system across key construction projects within their customer base.
  • Assist in the preparations of budgets and sales targets, with the ability to expense against projects.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders including marketing, supply, operations and other sales managers both within the division to support with the launch of this product in to the industry.
  • Identify sales synergies and participate in the resolution of customer and service issues.

Successful candidates will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Exceptional construction or trade project management skills with ability to understand technical specification in construction projects.
  • Proven level of technical and practical understanding of major plumbing services installations.
  • Ability to develop relationships, new and existing to sell new innovative products to a wide diverse audience (pipeline).
  • Ability to work with trades and consultants to ensure seamless delivery of Smart Command at project interface level.
  • Ability to work with merchants to ensure they understand delivery processes and expectations.
  • Understanding of finances in order to achieve budgets. (agreed revenue and margin targets)
  • A good understanding of product development with a sales approach that would be consultative.
