Blonde Robot is a distributor of professional video products based in Melbourne Australia but distributing throughout 16 countries in South East Asia. We represent products ranging from photographic accessories to professional products for the production, post-production and content creation markets.
We have offices in Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur and have seen strong growth in our professional video division. An opportunity has arisen for a Video Sales Manager to join our team.
The current product portfolio for the video division represents distinctive premium brands covering Broadcast, Professional AV, Live Video Production, Recording, and Streaming categories.
As the Video Sales Manager you will manage our current sales team, while working closely with vendors on strategic planning, marketing activities and increasing brand awareness.
Key to the success of the position will be increasing demand for our existing products as well as sourcing new brands to represent.
A hands on role, there will be regular calls and visits to all key accounts with our existing team, along with hosting industry events around new product releases and new vendor signings.
Maintaining a strong technical and commercial understanding of the products, market perception, price expectation and competitive products is essential. Key duties will include, but not limited to:

Management of our professional video sales team.

Product Management of key brand/s including implementing and executing sales
strategies

Assisting with technical sales and support

Liaising with suppliers on pricing, new products and opportunities

Introducing new products/brands and technologies to dealers with clear go to
market strategies

Maintaining price books

Liaising with sales staff to ensure dealers are trained on new features or
products

Working with vendors, dealers and the team to host end user events such as
trade shows, product launches and promotions

Arranging for localised information sheets to be distributed throughout the
region
The role is Melbourne based, however significant domestic and international travel will be required.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with at least 5 years sales experience, with a strong channel background working for either a vendor or distributor.
A working understanding of Blonde Robot's market and product range would be beneficial as would knowledge of video production or post production workflows.
Remuneration for the position includes base wage, phone, laptop and uncapped commission.
