Role:

  • The Account Manager will be responsible for generating repeat sales and new sales from current customers, implementing sales strategies and promotions to drive sales from current customers and ensuring customers’ needs are met to an exceptional level to foster repeat business. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Generating new sales to existing customers through face to face customer meetings, phone calls and other outbound marketing channels.  The primary objective shall be to sell a greater range and total dollar amount of products to existing customers.
  2. Working with the existing customer base to put in place supply agreements.
  3. Maintaining regular contact with the existing customer base, in particular in the off season and in t he lead up to the main ordering period  to ensure orders are placed and not lost to competitors, regular mail outs for specials and product bundles.
  4. Ensuring clients’ needs are met in terms of timely delivery of design briefs and   quotations.
  5. Taking Customer phone calls and managing the sales process end to end from initial enquiry to design brief creation to issuing of invoice.
  6. Assisting with developing sales campaigns and strategies as required to generate further sales from the existing customer base.
  7. Control and Account for day to day transactional interface with customer accounts such as issue of designs, invoices and follow up on payment as required.
  8. Control, account and management of sponsorship arrangements such as Netball Victoria.
  9. Using social media tools to maintain contact with the existing customer base.
  10. Managing front of shop in terms of interaction with customers that come directly to the premises and ensuring the product display area is kept presentable, organised and fresh looking.

Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from the role:

  • Ability to meet sales metrics and targets
  • Relentless pursuit of new sales to current customers and delivery of great customer service.
  • Ensuring customer enquiries are followed up in a timely manner and issuing the relevant documentation is also critical. 

Experience, Expertise and Personal Attributes:

  • Comfortable working in metrics driven environment.
  • Ideally you will have experience in sales and marketing of custom made sports garments or experience in a similar type of role
  • Some design expertise would be advantageous so as to help the customer through the design process (not mandatory).
  • Proven track record in generating new sales.
  • Able to demonstrate ability in conceptualising and implementing sales strategies.
  • Flexible approach to work hours.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic.
  • Proven ability in growing sales to an established customer base.
