ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity in our Sydney office, for an experienced Account Manager, to promote the Eagle Lighting Australia brand and provide lighting solutions to the Architectural, Commercial, Retail and Outdoor Lighting sectors.  Reporting to the NSW State Manager, this position will form an integral part of our sales team and growing business.  Responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Establishing strong working relationships with new and existing customers who may include architects, engineers, lighting consultants and interior designers
  • Providing customers with lighting solutions, lighting designs, education and product advice that lead to sales and the achievement of your sales budget
  • Coordinating projects by ensuring you are meeting customer requirements, working with key decision makers and ensuring that your specified products remain on the project
  • Collaborating with internal teams by ensuring that your valuable client and project information is updated on our CRM Salesforce

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be an experienced Account Manager, with an understanding of the technical and design aspects of commercial lighting together with an understanding of the lighting specification market and specification sales cycle
  • Have experience working with Electrical Engineers, Architects, End Users, Electrical Contractors and Wholesalers.
  • Have demonstrated experience in negotiating and successfully achieving sales results, ideally with an understanding of SPIN Selling Techniques (a Needs/Solution selling model) 
  • Have previous project management experience including regular use of a CRM
  • Be experienced in the submissions and management of major projects.
  • Have an understanding of BCA J6, AS1680, AS2293 and AS1158 and commercial building sustainability programs, such as, Greenstar, LEED and WELL.
  • Be an analytical thinker who is proficient in the implementation and monitoring of targeted sales and product strategies
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines whilst remaining motivated
