About The Role:

We are seeking a new Electrical Salesperson to join our team in the Shepparton region. This role requires a proactive approach to identify, evaluate and convert project and business relationship opportunities into sales revenue and increase NHP’s market share. You will be required to provide specialist technical advice on NHP product and solutions to increase knowledge and utilisation of same to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide specialist technical advice on NHP product and solutions to increase knowledge and utilisation of same
• Utilising NHP product and solutions in conjunction with Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients
• Increase NHP product and solutions knowledge and awareness of internal/external Sales staff through regular communication and training sessions
• Maintain close relationships with key accounts, consultants and local electrical regulators, and satisfy their technical requirements. Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise of the application of company products or services to customer requirements
• Offer technical assistance and explanation when technical difficulties arise, ensure that satisfactory solutions are obtained for both the customer and the company.
• Assess project specifications and select the compliant product to assist estimators to prepare quotations

About You:

This is a home office based role, so whilst you will have the flexibility to run your own show, you will require the self-discipline and determination to manage and increase your multi-million-dollar budget. With a strong development plan in place you will need to be out and about getting to know and develop meaningful relationships with key players in the region so out of hours networking will be required.

You will have a strong end user focus in industries such as water and food and beverage, as well as building strong networks with other customers and stakeholders like electrical consultants, contractor, End Users, OEMs, wholesalers and switchboard builders.

Ideally you have:

• Electrical or electrical engineering related qualification or experience
• Established relationships and networks in and around the Shepparton and surrounding regions
• Sales or customer focused experience
• Consultative approach to sales and a willingness to go above and beyond
• Understanding of the industrial channels; end users, consultants, contractors, wholesalers etc.
• Drive and persistence to work to grow and build upon opportunities in your region
• Self-motivation and discipline to work remotely and out of a 'home-office' environment
• Enjoy establishing and build strong long-lasting relationships with a variety of people
