About the business and the role

Couriers Express Services has a long established presence in the Melbourne local, and Australian national transport market. Dealing with a range of major blue-chip Australian and International clients, we have the knowledge and experience to handle a broad range of transport work, allowing for significant growth potential in to the future.

We are looking for a self motivated individual to source and develop new business in the courier and transport market. Offering the opportunity to work to develop a portfolio of your own new accounts, and supporting existing trading accounts, this is an ideal role for someone looking to work on their own terms, with advancement and increased earnings potential in to the future.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • New business development - prospecting and securing new clients.
  • Account management (both new and existing accounts).
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Work with the General Manager to generate the work that suits our drivers.
  • Opportunity to develop market segments YOU believe are valuable moving forward.
  • Build long-term client relationships.
  • Work with clients and operations staff to improve service outcomes.

Skills and experience

  •  Prior new business and sales experience essential.
  •  Good communication skills.
  •  Prior exposure to Account Management.
  •  Previous transport experience desirable.
