Caltex Telematics is a new business within Caltex Australia that provides a unique and new generation of Telematics solutions powered by Traffilog. Part of the Traffilog network, this technology is installed in more than 270,000 vehicles worldwide and has delivered significant benefits to our customers who are able to run their fleet more efficiently and reduce operational cost.

As we continue to expand in Australia, we are looking for energetic people who want to join our growing team. We currently have an opportunity for a high performing sales professional to lead our growth strategy for Telematics in the Australian market and effectively support our B2B Customers across a variety of industries including logistics, bus and coach, service fleets, leasing and rental, courier and waste management.

To give you an idea of what this involves, you will:

  • Research, identify, reach out, develop and close potential customers whether they are or not already Caltex Australia fuel and lubes customers
  • Develop and execute entry and growth strategies for target customer segments
  • Perform sales activities to meet the sales plan including preparation and submission of tenders and customer proposals as required
  • Build, develop and identify a sales pipeline to ensure growth in the Telematics business
  • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales targets and deliver to these targets
  • Drive effective customer relationships through strategic and disciplined Business Development practices
  • Collaborate with the wider Telematics team, the B2B sales team and Traffilog partners around the world to develop continual design improvements or bring innovative solutions for the Australian market.

To be successful you will have proven strategic sales experience, ideally within the Telematics or Automotive, transport, logistics or IT industry, with an understanding of up to date products and trends including IoT and connected vehicles. You enjoy dynamic and challenging environments and adapt your knowledge to new industry and product applications. As an effective communicator, your ability to build respected relationships has been a key to your commercial success. You create an environment that supports individual growth and high-performing teams. Finally, you are a real sales hunter who enjoys closing deals and a continuous growth environment.
