MAV is an audio visual in-house provider for events and conferences in Melbourne and regional Victoria. We take the stress out of event management by ensuring all technical production elements, for any size event, run seamlessly. We have successfully served our clients, delivering memorable live events, for more than fifteen years.
About the role
The Director of Sales leads a small team of experienced and dedicated staff from our head office, servicing numerous clients and locations. Great customer service and strong client management have been key to our success. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the company's strategic objectives including identifying and targeting new clients and markets to achieve growth, managing current key accounts and supporting and mentoring the sales team to achieve the same objectives.
Responsibility for sales and marketing functions of the business is expected.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the sales team to attain desirable event standards profitably.
Identify new business opportunities and work with GM to activate
Maintain existing relationships with customers and ensure renewable contracts are maintained and achieved.
Event Planning , including quoting and concept design
Ensure the sales team achieves or exceeds sales budgets

Skills and experience
Experience as a Senior Account Manager or BDM in a public or private company
Experience in Audio Visual Hire and Production Company
Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields advantageous
Demonstrated ability to grow a business and meet sales targets
High level negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Leadership and effective team management skills
