Who are we?

We employ over 600 people across 68 sites in NSW and support clients with low, moderate, high and very high support needs across all disabilities and backgrounds, in both group and individual programs.
The role
Challenge Community Services is currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Business Development Manager to join our Disability Support team, with a focus on mental health. This critical position will initially be based in Oran Park but will also be focusing on duplicating and implimenting our successful services in other regions, including Wollongong and other areas of Sydney and NSW. This role is all about growth and the successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining client referals and project managing the set up of supported accommodation homes.
This role will initally be a 12 month contract however ongoing employment may be possible.

- Be able to maintain and develop effective working relationships with all stake-holders, including funding bodies
- Market existing programmes and develops new services to existing and potential service participants and other relevant stakeholders
- Work in a positive and inclusive manner that creates and maintains a high performing team culture
- Have the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
The Essentials
- 5 years + experience in a business development role, preferably with a hrowth role in a new area/region
- Proven expwrience in project management
- Customer focussed work ethic
- A sound understanding of business principles – including participants services, budgeting and operations management
- Strong relationship management abilities, with influencing and effective communication skills as key competencies
- A demonstrable ability to work well both autonomously and with a team
- Able to be flexible and to work non-standard hours as required
- An acceptance of extensive travel and community values
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products
- A current NSW Working With Children’s check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Unencumbered NSW driver’s license.
