Our company is a market leader in the pet and animal industry and we are looking for a Sales Consultant to join the team in a friendly, dynamic and professional environment that encourages knowledge sharing and close collaboration. We are a B2B wholesaler which supply goods across Australia to pet retailers, zoo's & sanctuaries and learning institutes such as Universities.

The sales consultant will identify business opportunities by developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase interest and build on their purchasing portfolios.

The individual will need to be able to develop a sound understanding of our sales program and can close smaller deals while communicating our value to the Pet Industry.

You will be rewarded with our KPI sales incentive program which will allow uncapped earnings

Primary Responsibilities are:

  • Prospect and build a sales pipeline via outbound calling, email communications, and other direct marketing methods.
  • Process current customer orders and provide feedback with addon sales opportunities
  • Qualify sales leads, allocate as appropriate, and generate sales.
  • Meet weekly and monthly phone and email communication goals in accordance with a strategic plan, developed by the Sales Manager
  • Consistently log and record each-and-every outreach made producing regular activity reports as requested by the Sales Manager.
  • Incentivised to close deals independently.
  • Resolve negative customer feedback to maintain a B2B relationship

Required Experience / Qualification:

  • Professional presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised and attentive to detail.
  • Self-starting with sound follow-through and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Ability to handle realistic yet challenging workloads.
  • Motivated to succeed.
  • Confident in their ability to accomplish goals.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
  • Some knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and products within the Pet Industry will be of an advantage to you
  • Can interact effectively with all levels of management and staff, both at an internal and external scope.
  • Experience working in customer service either B2B or direct to consumer
  • A basic understanding of a sales cycle, with the ability to effectively close smaller deals.
  • Adaptable, professional, courteous, and should be able work well both individually and as a member of a small team.
