Today, you’ll see Laminex on surfaces everywhere you look - be it hospitals, shopping centres, restaurants or your home. We manufacture and procure a broad range of products for commercial and residential use such as laminate, engineered stone and veneers so that all Australians can live in beautiful, practical spaces.
The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a driven Sales Representative to join our QLD team, covering Rockhampton and surrounding region. The primary purpose of the role is to maximise our sales potential within our residential trade customer base of cabinet-makers, builders, and joiners. This is a highly autonomous role that will see you in the office 1 day a week and out in the field the other 4 days, with an overnight stay roughly 1 night per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- New business development, uncovering and maximising sales opportunities with new and existing customers
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with our existing portfolio of clients
- Influencing and guiding customers on colour, design and market trends
- Providing technical support and advice to customers
- Sharing sales leads and market information with your sales team
Skills and Experience:
In order to thrive in this role you will:
- Be able to display proven sales wins with 3-5 years’ experience in a similar sales role
- Use your exceptional interpersonal skills to build professional and long-term relationships
- Be customer-focused and able to support an existing client base
- Preferably have some knowledge in the manufacturing or building and construction industry
- Have the willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team
- Be results-orientated, self-motivated and able to work autonomously to meet targets
