Business Development Manager - NSW
The Academy of Information Technology (AIT) is a member of the ASX listed RedHill Education Group and is an established education provider based in Ultimo. AIT has over 20 years’ experience educating thousands of students from all over the world who have gone on to build successful careers in the digital media, design and information technology space. AIT has experienced significant growth over the last few years in line with its long term strategic plans.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing domestic student recruitment. This involves managing a network of career advisors and high school teachers, running our high school holiday workshops, managing open days and overseeing and participating in local education events and seminars.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage domestic student recruitment activities across the assigned region;
- Develop and implement a recruitment plan for the region, including setting goals and objectives and monitoring key performance indicators;
- Manage the high school workshops including promotion of the events, staffing and coordinating the profit and loss;
- Develop relationships with high school careers advisors, teachers and other staff to help promote the divisional brands as a preferred option for school leavers;
- Develop and coordinate a range of high school engagement programs, including but not limited to: high school visits/events, teacher careers advisors training, open days and fairs and events.
- Set and achieve sales and revenue targets for the T&D Division across the assigned region;
- Keep up-to-date sales activities and transaction records in the divisional CRM system;
- Manage the sales pipeline in Hub Spot focusing on converting leads to applications;
Skills and experience we are looking for
The Business Development Manager must have several years’ experience in managing student recruitment within an educational institution as well as experience managing a geographically diverse team.
Essential criteria:
- Educated to a degree level in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills;
- Demonstrated experience in managing staff.
- Experience in managing student recruitment for an education provider.
- Ability to identify, develop and implement strategic plans to help drive student enrolment and revenue growth.
- Experience in the Higher Education sector.
- A demonstrated understanding of the legislation underpinning education in Australia.
The Business Development Manager will be required to travel within Australia.
