Role

The role is for a sales and services person experienced in products used for wear protection, conveyance and ore separation for mineral beneficiation, mining and bulk solids handling industry in the Pilbara region.

The job will be to promote, sell and service company products and services in the region based out of either Newman, Karratha or Port Hedland in a home office set up with frequent visits to the head office in Perth.

Profile

To be successful you will have to have sales experience in selling similar products and services preferably based out of Pilbara with firm understanding of the mining fixed plant and material handling customers and projects in the Pilbara region. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage sales and service installations in the region.
  • Generate RFQ’s and calculate job costings and margins. Supply budget quotations, standard quotation and tenders.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the support required.
  • Create new sales and marketing strategies that target customers and positions our product and services as per customer requirements.
  • Set and achieve sales goals/budget and report progress on monthly and quarterly basis

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

  • Essential: Experience of selling and/or servicing products and services to the Pilbara Mining Industry.
  • Desired: Tertiary or Trade education in either mechanical, metallurgy or process will be highly regarded, although not essential.
  • Desired: Experience of working with fixed plant and material handling in the Pilbara mining industry.
  • Desired: Prior experience of working with wear products and/or screens and/or mills and/or conveyors components will be highly regarded.
