Agrana Fruit is the global leader in the fruit preparation industry, providing fruit preparations to the dairy, ice cream, soft drink and bakery industries. Our high performing Australian team specializes in fruit preparations for the dairy and ice cream industries.

We are currently seeking a well-rounded, experienced Business Development Manager to join the team. This role is suited to someone that is passionate about sales and enjoys providing the highest levels of customer service to their clients as well as someone who is organised and able to prioritise a busy workload. This is a full-time permanent role. The successful candidate can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of this role is to grow and develop with Key Account Managers existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to our clients along with identification and development of new business opportunities outside existing business base.

Key Accountabilities:

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Identification and prospecting of new business leads, including qualification and needs assessment.
  • Building of business development strategy including business case and business plan.
  • Complete market analysis and identify opportunities for sales growth with new and existing customers.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients and industries.
  • In co-operation with the Commercial Director assist in the support of the strategic direction of Agrana Australia.
  • Evaluate, advise and follow up main Business Development projects. Track key milestones of these main projects: market assessment, needs of investment (CAPEX) and launch of the new business.
  • Promote better identification of competitors, partners, and possible targets for growth.
  • Establish Agrana internal network for sharing and reporting of new business opportunities and new wins.
  • Facilitate the development of new business opportunities while supporting New Business strategic initiative.

  • Ability to travel domestically and inernationally if required.
