Mabey Hire are part of a global group of companies providing essential engineered products and services to the construction and infrastructure industries. Locally Mabey has a branch network throughout Australia and New Zealand specializing in groundworks equipment hire, supported by an elite standard of engineering.

We have an immediate need to appoint a new staff member to join us at our HALLAM Branch. This is a role ideal for someone who wants to have varied work days and learn new skills.

Ideally you will live close to the HALLAM branch location and have your own reliable transport.

Requirements and Experience

The person we are looking for would have the following attributes

  • Honesty
  • Good work ethic 
  • Eager to learn
  • A great telephone manner
  • Ability to handle a "multitask" environment and work unsupervised
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a focus on attention to detail
  • An LF forklift ticket is essential
  • Must be able to complete yard hand duties including manual orientated tasks when required
  • Current Drivers License and reliable transport                                            

Experience not necessary as training will be provided.The focus of the role will be to be an active participant in the yard and office ensuring that preparation/servicing of equipment prior to or during hire is in accordance with manufacturer and OHS requirements. In conjunction with this you will also be trained in-

  • Assist in maintaining effective stock control of assets;
  • General maintenance of the yard;
  • Repair and maintain equipment to a workable and safe condition;
  • Inspect assets and ensure that maintenance and repairs are conducted in a timely manner;
  • Answering customer calls
  • Processing orders

You must be able to pass a medical which will include a drug test.
