About the Role

Reporting to the National Sales and Marketing Manager, this hands on National Account Manager role will be responsible for growing sales and profitability, and identifying new business opportunities in key areas such as major health food retailers, department stores, independent supermarkets, and manufacturing.  Relationship building will be a core component of this role. 

Key responsibilities

As a key member of our supportive sales team, your duties will include:

  • Developing and implementing the annual sales strategic business plan to meet aligned KPIs
  • Achieving sales and profit targets
  • Developing new business opportunities, including private label and industrial opportunities
  • Reviewing the market, trends, and range to drive product development, from concept to launch, in consultation with key business area
  • Maintaining accurate forecasts to ensure effective inventory management
  • Analysing and interpreting sales data to identify growth opportunities

Experience

The role will suit a confident sales professional with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion for sales, backed by a proven track record to drive growth within a business.

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG sales role and high level exposure to category management
  • A successful track record in key account management and business development with experience in leading and managing field sales teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills
  • High level organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent administration and computer skills, with an understanding of Microsoft Excel reporting and Microsoft Power Point presentations
  • A "hands on" approach to tackling tasks

Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful application, based on experience.
