The newly formed SsangYong Motors Australia is establishing its own factory backed operation in Melbourne and they need an experienced National Sales Manager.
Directly reporting to the Managing Director, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of effective sales strategies.
The role will involve achieving sales targets in conjunction with the SsangYong dealer network and sales team.
THE ROLE:
- To collaborate with the SsangYong Sales team to develop overall sales strategy and execution.
- Provide sales direction, forecasts and future trends to the team
- Develop and drive implementation of sales strategies and budgets throughout the dealer network and to improve dealer performance
- Monitor and manage dealer sales performance throughout the network and implement K.P.I's
- Pursue identified business prospects and participate in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities with the Managing Director
- To accomplish monthly sales targets and market share objectives
- To ensure all risks and legal aspects in relation to the sales department are managed
- Ensure a strong relationship with the Marketing department is established to align sales and marketing plans
- Motivate and manage team
- Along with the Managing Director, help represent SsangYong at Industry meetings, motor shows, field days, new model launches and dealer promotional days.
YOU :
- Can demonstrate previous sales achievements and business growth on a National level
- Possess a high level of financial and business acumen
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office, web, databases etc
- Have a degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field
- Would likely have a minimum of 3 years experience for a leading automotive brand at a senior level
- Have previous experience managing a team
- Have previous experience being accountable for the logistics function within an automotive organisation and understand how to implement best practice
- Can map current market and understand your competitors
- Have strong communication skills'
- Have negotiating skills and the ability to influence.
