Travelport Locomote is looking for an experienced Sales Rep.

Purpose Statement:

The Sales Representative New Zealand is primarily responsible for creating new business.  This will be via new customers and existing customers.  You will have a demonstrated track record of being able to do this by engaging, developing and managing strong customer partnerships.

 This includes proactively forecasting business and market needs, preparing and implementing appropriate sales strategies and achieving sales targets for Travelport Locomote , whilst ensuring customer excellence is maintained. This role contributes to the success of the company vision to deliver experiences that redefine corporate travel.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Prospecting, qualifying, developing and closing sales opportunities based on obtaining an understanding of the market and current and future customer buying behaviour.
  • Conduct lead generating activities including cold calling, industry networking, events and other activities that can be used as leverage.
  • Selling within a defined geographic and/or sale vertical as defined by the Director Sales Support APAC.
  • Manages the qualifying process of current leads and responds to RFI and RFP enquiries.
  • Lead nurturing value proposition product demonstrations, negotiate commercial terms and signed contracts, including scope of works if required.
  • Effectively position The Locomote Corporate Travel Platform with prospects to ensure Locomote is mandated/requested in RFP and RET’s.
  • Accurate and up to date CRM reporting and recording
  • Identify key objectives/solutions to ensure key decision-makers and influencers remain engaged and aware of the benefits of Locomote’s Corporate Travel Platform compared to competitors
  • Has a full understanding of what impacts profitability and has the ability to identify the ‘right deal’ in line with company objectives.

    We at Travelport Locomote place a greater importance on your mindset than your skills or experience. However, the following attributes will help you hit the ground running in this role:

  • Corporate travel experience highly desirable
  • 3 -5 years’ relevant business to business sales or account management experience.
  • A strong track record of business and commercial acumen in an autonomous environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, possessing a high degree of self-motivation, confidence, assertiveness and an ability to respond to rapidly changing environments.
  • Good persuasion and influencing skills.
  • Professional written skills with a proven ability to modify style based on the audience.
  • Experience of Hubspot and internal sales systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to report and use spreadsheets to demonstrate a good business case.
  • Competent in the use of MS office suite applications.
  • Confident presenter with experience using various resources and presentation methods.
