About the Role:
  
We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced Sales Representative, to join our mining division based in Mackay. Reporting to the Support Manager, you will be required to manage Capital parts sales, predominantly relating to dragline and electric rope shovels.
  
In this Sales Representative role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide an accurate forecast of sales opportunities to Hastings Deering and Caterpillar
• Manage the stock/spare parts strategy and market pricing intelligence
• Provide technical support to both customers and Equipment Specialists as required
• Provide a single point of accountability within Hastings Deering for sales to manage the interaction between Caterpillar and the customer and/or Equipment Manager
• Assist customer with the analysis of component health
• Assist in the delivery of targeted, high-level support and service and enhanced engagement with our key commercial customers, through working closely with manager and collaboratively with the team as a whole to achieve results
• Implement company marketing plans and programs and promote available Product Support Programs and service repair options as appropriate to the individual customer’s needs.
• Identify business opportunities to differentiate our product support against competition, and maintain an understanding of evolving customer business needs where new or improved product support services can satisfy those needs 

About You
  
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Proven experience in a customer facing role within a diversified company marketing a product line
• Mechanical or relevant trade qualification
• Current Driver’s License
• Demonstrated understanding of Hastings Deering and Caterpillar support systems or similar
• Maintain a high level of workplace health and safety at all times
• Ability to establish and maintain mutually beneficial customer relationships
• Experience in the mining, mining services or heavy equipment industries
