Now looking to expand into the take-home and grocery market, our dynamic retail team are seeking a driven and pro-active Business Development Manager to utilise their knowledge of the market and ability to understand customer needs, and grow our Pie Face brand.

Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will be tasked with: identifying new accounts/business, negotiate and establish pricing and terms, achieve sales and growth targets, ensure compliance, maximise store presence, take ownership of the supply chain and most importantly, you will be tasked with improving the customer experience.

Key Accountability:

  • Secure new customers, accounts, buying groups and opportunities for Pie Face in line with company goals and objectives
  • Ensuring maximum ranging, premium presence and exposure within the custom groups i.e. frozen food category
  • Develop appropriate promotional programs and business plans tailored to customer groups and demographics
  • Monitor sales performance and meet/exceed overall sales targets and objectives
  • Forecast demand to ensure adequate supply across all Pie Face ranges in both metro and regional distribution spread; ensure maximum store presence
  • Activated point of engagement of the brand within the confines of the customer group marketing plans
  • Establish pricing, contractual terms, appropriate credit terms are met by customers and ensuring compliance
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as State Managers and Area Managers to collate and report on the progress of key projects within the region, including but not limited to: objectives, timelines, budgets and resource requirements
  • Take ownership and foster an organisational culture of performance; ensure timely implantation of job duties, goals and objectives
  • Promote and improve planning standards as business, state and project level
  • Proactively supporting the delivery of the FY18 business plan by ensuring targets are met and growth plans executed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail business development (petroleum, convenience or related industry)
  • Previous experience with retail analytics; and report preparation and presentation to senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or similar
  • Strong communication skills; highly organised; advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills; excellent attention to detail
  • Current driver's license
