I am currently recruiting for an Enterprise Accounts Development Manager role for a global multibillion dollar Customer Experience software enterprise.

Although a buzzy and vibrant company with a young “start-up” feel, my client has built a portfolio of well-known clients and is the market leader in their field.

Based at their Australian headquarters in Sydney, this high-profile position will be leading their APAC Account Manager team (1 to begin with), which you will grow, develop and nurture.

This rare opportunity offers a clear career path - my client would like the ideal candidate to be Head of Enterprise Accounts in the next 4-5 years.

Personable with a good solid sales background, you love to hunt for new sales opportunities and is well versed in strategising ways to generate new business by consulting and offering product solutions to potential new clients that enhance and solve their business needs.

A large part of this position is new business generation, so previous experience as a Business Development Manager, or in a role which had that function is essential.

You must also have the ability to close deals and can come up with good plans to do so. Whilst you will be an integral part of their sales team you will also be working on other sales leads from the in-house Marketing team, so you must have some marketing experience and knowledge leverage and utilise these.

As this is a managerial position, you will use your previous experience gained from your Account Manager/BDM background working with tier 1 companies, to build a successful team around you by leading from the front.

This role is perfect for an ambitious applicant with 4-5 years as a BD/Account Manager who is looking to go into the mentor/manager route and not the field sales path.

We are looking for an individual who can hit the ground running, has experience plus an understanding and love for software and technology as a whole and who is comfortable in building relationships at all levels, can pitch on the phone or face to face, has a “make friends and influence” personality and can offer a consultative experience to new and existing clients by listening to their needs.

To apply you must:

  • Have at least 4-5 years Business Development and Account Manager experience within B2B SaaS software sales
  • Have Marketing or Customer Experience/relationship experience
  • Have Enterprise Account and experience in dealing in complex solution sales
  • Be savvy, creative and tech orientated
  • Like working in a young, vibrant “start-up “environment
  • Have experience working/dealing with tier 1 companies at all levels
  • Experienced with Salesforce.com, Excel, Marketo and Customer Experience software
  • Have excellent team and communication skills
  • Want to build and nurture a successful team
