About the role:

This is a newly created position responsible for developing and growing new business in VIC & NSW regions through facilitating the specification of Soprema products in commercial projects and providing support to builders, architects, consulting engineers, commercial property owners, government entities/councils, and other targeted specifiers.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse project intelligence and establish target audience and projects
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholder& systems and customers in the target market
  • Present and promote our products to architects, builders, consultants, engineers, government officials etc to achieve product recognition and enhance market position
  • Coordinate and cooperate with all in house departments to ensure exemplary customer satisfaction and product performance is achieved
  • Maintain regular service to customers in nominated areas
  • Participate in appropriate industry organisations and interest groups
  • Achieve budgeted specification and presentation targets 
  • Promote the marketing of Soprema products
  • Use technical competence to assess situations
  • Report on market activities (competitor movements, promotions etc, customer complaints, product and sales trends
  • Facilitate regular meetings and information flow with key state and national internal sales team members.
  • Attend all training as required.

Skills., knowledge and experience requirements:

  • Qualification in business sales is desirable
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is essential
  • Experience in the infrastructure, civil and below ground waterproofing aspects of the commercial building market
  • Familiarity with construction contract documents, specifications and working drawings
  • Strong self motivation and organisational skills
  • Strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Persistent, ambitious and have a strong drive for success
