An opportunity has arisen in our Protec business for an experienced Business Development Manager to grow our market share in Queensland.

Your primary focus in this role will be to increase new business by gaining additional sales of Protec Refinish products from competitive brands. You will do this by winning and negotiating deals with existing and new clients and arranging and co-ordinating product demonstrations. Your customers are body shop owners in the collision repair industry so experience in a similar industry is advantageous, as is working knowledge of coatings and paints.

In this role you will cover the whole state of Queensland, but most of our business is in Brisbane and the south. Although the focus of the role is business development you will also be responsible for account management for some or our key clients.

This role will report into the National Sales Manager for Protec, based in Melbourne. In this role you will be required travel across QLD.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated success as a Business Development Manager;
  • Product knowledge and knowledge of application techniques;
  • Strong analytical, decision making and communication skills;
  • Self starter, thriving on autonomy;
  • Experience in the Collinson repair industry is an advantage;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the refinish market and ability to develop a plan and execute this plan to grow market share;
  • The ability to easily build trust and strong relationships;
  • Computer skills using MS, outlook and basic systems;
  • Shown initiative, a strong work ethic and a willingness to succeed
  • Trade Qualification in spray painting an advantage;
  • A valid driver's license
