The Role

Reporting into the EVP APAC, you will be responsible for expanding the revenue generation team to drive value and accelerate our global fabric. Passionate about growth and innovation, you will be a solution focused leader and self-starter, with meticulous execution capabilities. Tasked with building, managing and delivering Megaport’s enterprise strategy, you will continually strive for innovation, building a better way for enterprises and networks to interconnect.

While it is preferred the role be based in Brisbane, we are open on the location and location is flexible within Australia.   Megaport offer a flexible work environment with work from home options available. 

Key Tasks 

  • Lead and manage the APAC sales team
  • Develop and execute the regional strategy to accelerate revenue in your region
  • Achieve business revenue and services target for your region
  • Work with Senior Management to understand key business objectives and targets and execute within the deadline provided
  • Work towards board and shareholder goals
  • Ability to lead partner and customer business requirements and develop a corresponding commercial solution aligned with our capabilities
  • The ability to execute complex technical designs for customers  
  • Learn and maintain in depth knowledge of Megaport product and solutions, competitive products, as well as the products of our key services partners and transfer such knowledge to the Sales and Marketing team as well as to our authorized sales partners.
  • Learn and maintain in depth knowledge of industry trends.
  • Learn and maintain in depth knowledge of Megaport’s software, API, and be able to engage in technical discussions with our customers, prospects, and prospective partners.
  • Work closely with the Data Centre development team to build business cases for expansion in existing and new markets                            

Talents, Skills & Qualifications 

  • Ability to lead, manage, inspire and build a team
  • Strong customer presentation and public speaking capabilities
  • Ability to deliver revenue results and consultative selling
  • Able to work with Senior Management and the Board of Directors on high level projects, objectives and revenue generation
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Experience in designing or deploying cloud/virtualization solutions in enterprise customer environments is highly desired
  • Experience working within the Enterprise software market or Internet/Telecommunications industries is highly desired
  • Internet infrastructure, computer science, or cloud computing background highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and engineering technologies are highly desired
