The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team in the most innovative on premise market.  Working with our global premium and craft portfolios your team is tasked with growing distribution, volume, profitability and brand execution / experience within a portfolio of craft & specialty bars; urban progressive venues; fine dining and contemporary restaurants.

 In this role you will be responsible for inspiring & leading your team to deliver the financial and execution targets through a high performance culture. As a member of the NSW Leadership team you will give input into the commercial plans through annual and cycle planning, developing & executing an area plan.  You will also play a leading role in managing key customers, which will involve evening engagements one to two nights per week.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Significant sales experience, including demonstrated key account and customer relationship management
  • Proven experience coaching, leading and developing a high-performing sales team
  • Understanding and ability to communicate compelling brand, customer strategies, consumer insights to customers and sales teams
  • Revenue planning and customer profitability analysis - analytical skills and financial literacy
  • Understanding of category management tools, resources and best in class capability
  • Territory planning and resource optimization
  • Negotiation planning as well as conducting negotiations with senior customer stakeholders
  • Hold and maintain a current, full driving license

You will be an exceptional leader with experience in managing and engaging a sales force to drive executional excellence.  Your tool kit will include successful past experience in establishing and maintaining a high performance culture through effective communication, consistent people processes and talent management.  You will lead and coach individuals to their potential and collaborate across functions to drive outcomes.

·       Understand the Commercial plan for the state and develop an Area plan to achieve the financial and execution targets required.

·       Build resource plan including reviewing capacity in journey plans to call on new outlet openings and ensuring the call centre is optimised to provide coverage where field visits are not efficient

·       Use the sales tools and processes to deliver results.

·       Work with relevant stakeholders (Customer Marketing, Contact Centre, National and Key Accounts) to ensure the team has the information and tools required to deliver results

·       Monitor and evaluate financial and execution dashboard metrics, identified gaps and participate in implementing corrective actions or raising issues for resolution with Customer and Channel teams

·       Manage spend in line with budget, internal policies and governance requirements

·       Communicate the value of and drive adherence to CUB sales processes, performance management and incentives
