Due to an internal move we are seeking to recruit an experienced and capable Human Resource (HR) Advisor on a 6 month contract to join our Perth team, based near the airport.  Reporting to the HR Lead for the Western region, this role will support a wide range of internal stakeholders and work closely with Recruitment, Payroll, Shared Services and the wider, HR team across our South Pacific region.

Key day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Promote the “right work” environment to support the company’s vision and objectives
  • Provide strategic input to the Branch Management teams  in relation to HR
  • Implementation of HR Policies and Procedures in region and provide timely advice on HR policy & procedures
  • Assist in attracting top talent through partnering with line managers on the regional recruitment process and working closely with the recruitment team to drive the process
  • Route approvals & offers for new hires and review pre-employment checks
  • Keep recruitment trackers up to date for the region, including organisational charts for each branch
  • Plan & Manage performance appraisal process in region.  Assist employees with the performance review process
  • Assist with performance management, including conducting investigations
  • Ensure quality of Onesource data from the region when the approval flow includes the Regional HR Manager
  • Support compliance to code of conduct, anti-harassment complaints process. Advise and assist BU & branch managers on investigation procedures in relation to all HR complaints, work performance, or other employee issues.
  • Provide award and policy interpretation to managers
  • Overseeing termination of employee process
  • Conduct presentations in the onboarding training sessions for new employees
  • General day to day HR administration as required

Qualifications/Skills required:

  • Degree in Human resources
  • Experience as an HR Advisor/Senior HR Advisor within a Global organization
  • Thorough understanding of regional EEO, OH&S, Anti-Discrimination, Dismissal and Employment Legislation
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate computer skills particularly Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and HR database management
  • A clear commitment to customer service, candidate care and safe work practices
  • Strong attention to detail, an autonomous mindset and proactive work ethic
  • Performance management investigation experience is highly desirable
