About the opportunity

  • This is an opportunity to step into a role within a global pharmaceutical organisation and bring your experience and knowledge from working within a similar role as a Compensation, Remuneration and Benefits Analyst. Conversing in Japanese or Mandarin is essential to this role as you will be managing various compensation and benefits analysis and reporting. You will be working within a global organisation to deliver various risk, retirement and savings plans, leave management and compensation including base pay, long and short-term incentives, job evaluations and pricing, allowances, one-time payments, and recognition programs.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews system correspondence, rewards websites, HRA training materials, Local Work Instructions and Knowledge Articles to ensure these are current, accurate and market relevant.
  • Evaluate and process, system transactions including job requisitions, compensation changes, job changes and payments requiring non-standard calculations
  • Execute and administer activities related to benefit plan eligibility, enrolments, status changes, and terminations including some social security programs
  • Perform job evaluations, market pricing and provide salary recommendations
  • Execute and administer annual compensation planning and research, problem solve and respond on issues related to compensation programs, objectives and procedures

Skills and Experience

  • General knowledge and understanding of compensation, remuneration and benefits for regional locations including Japan and China
  • Have worked in a rapid, fast-moving environment which is both complex and ever changing.
  • Practical operational experience HR policies, processes, regional Employment Laws and total rewards legislative requirements
  • Have worked in a multi-cultural/multi-country work environment
  • Ability to use business judgment when assessing requirements and performance to identify the right solution to meet business needs
  • Previous experience working in a shared services environment preferred
  • Strong communication written and verbal in Japanese or Mandarin is essential
