The role
Our client is an independent government agency integral to the state of Victoria. The successful candidate will be joining an inclusive, collaborative, respectful and innovative environment with a great team culture. The role will be a true generalist role with a great balance between strategic and operational elements as well as one direct report.
This position will report into the HR Director and act as a 2IC, working in a strategic and operational capacity across all HR disciplines including: workforce planning and recruitment, employee engagement, policy development, employee relations, performance management, as well as managing the OH&S program.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience effectively partnering with the various areas of the business to support managers through all aspects of the employee lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge across the OHS and employee wellbeing space
- Proven leadership and employee relations experience including management of complex cases
- An ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and deliver contemporary human resources program initiatives tailored to the organisations needs
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related relevant discipline is preferred
The ideal candidate will be a true generalist and have experience managing a wide range of HR functions and possess a strong knowledge of employee awards and legislation.
