About the Role: The Risk and Sustainability team provide organisation-wide assistance and advice in the management and reduction of WHS, Environment, Quality, Food Safety, Governance and Compliance Risk. This role supports all Operations in the implementation and successful delivery of the Organisation’s Risk and Sustainability Strategy. The initial focus of the role is to provide operational support and coaching to Viticulture and Hospitality line managers and team leaders in the management of Operational WHS and Environmental Risk in areas of recent expansion and diversification, including the Top 5 WHS Risk program.
Essential functions of the role will include:
- Assist the business in transition to an integrated Risk Management System.
- Coach and assist operational management with compliance with Integrated Health, Safety, Environmental and Risk Management Plans and procedure
- Key User – Software based Safety and Risk Action plans, Event and Action Registers and online safety training system.
- Work collaboratively with all levels of management and staff to influence effectively.
- Build Contractor, Partner and Supplier relationships
- Support continuous improvement of the internal audit system, so that outcomes are consistent with requirements.
- Champion the behavioural based “Safety First Culture' action plan
What’s Required:
- A minimum 2 years' operational WHS and Environmental Risk management experience preferably within primary production, hospitality or wine industry
- Qualification in Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Management or related discipline (minimum Diploma)
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Experience in risk assessments , workplace inspections, internal auditing and action plans ( Internal Auditor competency training will be provided)
- Analytical, collaborative approach to finding practical and workable solutions
Desirable:
- Experience in developing documentation and records
- Experience in assisting line management with Incident Reporting and Investigation methodology
- ICAM trained
- Foundation understanding of Food Safety Plans
- Auditing accreditation to AS for Quality, WHS or Environmental management
- Experience in collation and management of statistical data and analysis of information for reporting
Other Information:
- Able to work autonomously.
- Current unrestricted light vehicle driver’s license and able to drive regional country distances and drive a 4WD confidently off-road.
- Able to take domestic flights
- Some requirement to work and be accommodated away from home for short periods
- Able to work outside normal business hours if required for seasonal demands or major events.
- Pre-employment Alcohol and Drug Screening will be required
