Hourigan International is an Australian owned, globally-operating executive search firm representing a unique tribe of talent - Creative Leaders. Creative Leaders understand Customer, Brand, Innovation and Digital; and are able to use those levers to drive shareholder return. We place Non-Executive Board Directors and CEOs and Managing Directors with that kind of background; CMOs and anything in the Marketing portfolio; Heads of Digital; Heads of Innovation; Heads of Commercial; and all functional leaders as well. We work at the top end of town with ASX-listed businesses like Telstra, CBA, Westpac, Fox Co, News and Qantas. We have been partners to McDonald’s for 15 years, and we’ve also worked with a number of small Australian-owned entrepreneurial businesses, including a number of businesses in the fledgling fintech space, Aesop as they have taken their business and brand globally, and Seafolly as they have done the same.

Due to unprecedented growth, we are seeking to appoint two entry-level Research Associates to join our execution team. Our execution team is responsible for the market research that forms the foundation of all of our client engagements, providing end-to-end support to our consultants on all of their client engagements. This will therefore involve liaison with our clients and talent alike, so you will very much play a key role in creating the overall premium brand experience that the firm prides itself on having at all touchpoints.

Successful candidates will be true team players who are passionate, engaged and energised in all aspects of our professional endeavours. Paramount to these critical support roles is the relentless pursuit of success for the firm's clients, people and organisation as a whole; as well as an uncompromising commitment to quality outcomes. We are looking for candidates with a naturally inquisitive nature, with a particular interest in business, current affairs and politics; creative and lateral thinking ability that can be applied to problem solving; the ability to multitask and work to deadlines; as well as a keen interest in people and communications, both written and verbal.

We would love to hear from recent high performing university graduates (Masters preferable) from any discipline and candidates with up to two years' experience in a similar role, that has ideally been acquired in an executive search or professional services firm. We view this position as an opportunity to progress into other roles within our organisation after 12-18 months. This role will provide you with an unparalleled insight into the world of big business, coupled with the cutting edge marketing, advertising, digital, data and design arena.
