  • Maintain strong external remuneration networks as well as fostering strong relationships with our global colleagues in the policy and remuneration space and more broadly in HR.
  • Keep abreast of employment legislation changes to ensure Shell Australia is compliant, documentation reflects those requirements, and the required stakeholders are updated.
  • Deploy operational time and rosters knowledge to review and advise on policy & remuneration issues related to rostered workforce, including leave accrual calculations, relevant modern award minima and related remuneration elements.
  • Lead varied policy projects to solve business issues, to keep policies current in light of legislative changes and to help sustain a compelling EVP for our employees in Australia.
  • Focal for vendor contracts, performance share vesting, salary packaging and offshore pensions.
  • Liaise with external and internal stakeholders (e.g. Tax, Legal, Payroll) on employment taxes to ensure HR policies and processes comply with Australian tax regulations. Focal point for FBT.

  • Strong specialist remuneration and data skills in salary benchmarking, job evaluation, statistical analysis, and interpretation.
  • Established specialist remuneration networks.
  • Experience in managing and advising on operational elements of time such as shifts/rosters, including leave accruals and building policies and remuneration around these.
  • Strong specialist knowledge in superannuation and fringe benefit tax.
  • Demonstrated track-record in managing and delivery of policy and remuneration projects and reviews.
  • Advanced Excel and SAPskills.

Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work & lead effectively in/and across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, based in various locations, whilst maintaining a high work level of work ethic, being able to work autonomously and being passionate about driving our company’s performance
