The Role
Our SHEQ Advisor will play a key role in providing hands-on support across the business to ensure regulations and ISO systems are adhered to. You will provide guidance and support on the management of workers’ compensation claims, through to conciliation if required, as well as managing non-work related injury queries and developing RTW plans. Through liaising with internal customers you will assist in reducing workplace hazards and will focus on creating a safety culture that promotes and encourages initiatives that lead to safer working environments.

You’ll have demonstrated success in providing advice on all SHEQ matters including risk assessments (including ergonomic), JSEA, Take 5 and the development of Safe Work Procedures. The role requires you to collaborate across the business, and to communicate the SHEQ standards to the business ensuring understanding, alignment and implementation.

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a Tertiary qualification in Risk Management or a related field. You will have at least 7 years’ experience in a similar SHEQ role, as well as having demonstrated ability to interpret the OHS Act, Workers Compensation Act and other relevant legislations. With a customer centric mindset, you will be results focused, resilient, able to build relationships and influence at all levels and have a strong sense of urgency. You will also have demonstrated experience with risk based safety and environmental management systems.

• This full-time role is classified as an Officer Level 3 $85,172 to $90,669 dependent on experience, plus 10% superannuation.
