The Role
Our Strategy & Governance Manager will play a lead role in implementing an integrated Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management system. Through effectively balancing the need to reduce workplace hazards and environmental impacts with the need to produce outstanding business outcomes, you will focus on creating a safety and environmental culture that promotes and encourages initiatives that lead to safer working environments.

As an experienced leader, you’ll motivate a high-performing team of safety and data reporting professionals to continuously improve our SHEQ performance. You’ll have demonstrated success in providing strategic advice, and will have expertise with the Workers’ Compensation process including strategies to reduce premiums. The role requires you to collaborate across the business, and to deliver clear SHEQ goals that align with our strategic objectives. You’ll ensure the implementation of best practice standards in risk, particularly for design.

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a Tertiary qualification in Risk Management or a related field, post graduate qualifications are highly regarded. You will have at least 10 years’ experience in a senior SHEQ role, and at least 7 years’ experience leading a team. With a customer centric mindset, you will be results focused, resilient, able to build relationships and influence at all levels and have a strong sense of urgency. You will also have demonstrated experience with change management strategies that maximise employee engagement.
