About the Apprenticeship Support Australia Team 
  
Apprenticeship Support Australia are contracted by the Australian Government to deliver Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) services.  Our team provide a range of free advice, information and support to employers, trainees and apprentices. Our services are focused on lifting apprenticeship commencement and completion rates through the provision of support at every stage of the cycle.

About the Role
  
This role is a full time contract ending on the 30th of June 2019. It requires the individual to provide recruitment support services to employers and job seekers in accordance with the CCI Gateway Support Services initiative provided and funded by The Australian Government. This role will contribute to Apprenticeship Support Australia being the number one AASNP in Australia.
  
You will be required to:

• Provide job seekers with a value-added recruitment support service, aiming to assist the job seeker to find employment;
• Promote and increase the participation of the Job Seeker Register for job seekers and employers;
• Liaise with employers to increase the number of jobs advertised on Skillsroad and engagement with job seekers registered on the Job Seeker Register;
• Educate job seekers on tactics to improve their own job search;
• Provide a job matching service that links prospective employees (typically prospective Apprentices or Trainees) with employers with open vacancies;
• Update the relevant federal database with new users of the Skillsroad initiative (known as Job Fit Test data);
• Actively participate in fortnightly team meetings and in fortnightly 1on1s to manage team performance.

About You
  
You will bring the following skills and attributes to the team:

• Knowledge of Recruitment Processes;
• A willingness to work with young people and draw from relevant experience;
• Able to provide Apprentices with sound guidance in job seeking skills;
• Able to guide employers through the recruitment processes;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Excellent communication skills – oral and written;
• Promote Australian Apprenticeships and Gateway Support Services to prospective clients;
• Ensure all services delivered are in accordance with Apprenticeship Support Australia and government guidelines and standards.

To be successful you must be able to obtain a clear Federal Police Clearance and Working with Children’s check.
