This is an exciting opportunity for a pragmatic outcome focused, People Strategy and Capability Professional, to lead a team to develop and deliver high quality strategies, initiatives and services that enhance organisational performance. Strategies may cover Leadership and Development, Indigenous Employment and Equity, Strategic Workforce Planning, Strategic Projects and Policy, and other projects or initiatives in response to emerging needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and programs that support leadership development, Indigenous employment, equity and diversity and culture at all levels across the University and monitor their effectiveness
  • Maintain strong understanding of the University’s business in order to align opportunities with the delivery of key objectives
  • Ensure high quality people management support through creating a supportive culture within the team
  • Develop and manage regular communications with Senior Leadership and Management and keep up to date with emergent HR issues
  • Demonstrable experience with models and toolkits for diagnosis, problem identification, options generation, problem solving culture, change, consulting and engagement
  • Manage a team of professionals to achieve desired outcomes

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or other related discipline
  • Leadership of a customer centric department with a proven track record developing creative, fit for purpose solutions to people challenges
  • Demonstrated project management capability to deliver key organisational development projects on time and within budget.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills combined with a management style which is innovative, solution focused and partners effectively with clients and other expert areas
  • Experience leading a team of professional specialists

Experience working in tertiary education environments will be highly regarded.
