Human Resources Advisor/officer
About the Role
Currently we are looking to fill a position for an experienced HR officer/advisor for a 6 month contract position within the private sector for a waste company that manufacture compost based in Yatala.
This role is a new role to the company and they are looking to get someone on board ASAP. Working for 32 hours per week over 4 days a week, although this is negotiable.
In this role you will be required to:
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrate a rock solid work ethic
- Communicate effectively, verbally and via email
- Provide advice to managers and staff regarding capability development, talent management, workforce planning, performance management and grievance management processes
- Provide consistent, detailed and accurate advice on the interpretation/implementation of the provisions of set agreements, employment law legislation and the various awards
- Deliver and implement operational functions of HR related projects (e.g. New Position Descriptions, Structure reviews) and assist with compiling reports.
- Roll out new HR systems
- Facilitate resolution of local disputes and staffing issues
- Facilitate and monitor the effective and consistent implementation and application of Human Resource Management policies, directives and procedures
- Research, review and implement industry and legislative changes
- Adhoc duties
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience working within the waste or even a civil environment due to large machinery on site
- Minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role
- Excellent administration and communication skills - this is a fast paced environment
- Qualification preferred, but not necessary
