About the role

We are currently looking for a Learning and Development Administrator to join our People & Culture team based in Melbourne. This role will be a contract to permanent role, working 3 days a week.

The core purpose of the role is to provide administration support to the Head of L&D and other L&D team members,  manage the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) and co-ordinate learning and development programs.

 Key duties will include:

  • Support the new starter induction process by setting up new users in the LMS, booking internal rooms, ordering catering where required, sending reminders, updating attendance, rescheduling non-attendees
  • Support the Melbourne Graduate Coordinator by scheduling the Melbourne based Seasonal Clerk and Graduate Induction
  • Support the Head of L&D in creating and coordinating a calendar of L&D events
  • Manage learning and development activities through the firm’s LMS
  • Book rooms, organise catering and equipment for sessions
  • Organise session materials
  • Report on training attendance, non-attendance and eligibility to attend
  • Liaise with internal presenters and external vendors to determine dates for programs
  • Evaluate all L&D programs held to assess quality of content, presenters and effectiveness

About you

Ideally we are looking for someone who is professional, well presented and is willing to go above and beyond.  You will also need to be flexible with a 'can do' attitude as you will be required to switch between tasks when urgent matters arise.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be competent in the operation of the Microsoft suite of applications
  • Have a basic understanding of data analytics and survey tools
  • Have some experience in converting face-to-face learning materials into a digital format
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team when necessary
  • Use your initiative, are proactive and able to prioritise activities according to level of urgency and manage time efficiently
  • Have at least two years of experience working in Legal, HR, IT or other within a corporate or professional services organisation
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
