We are on the lookout for an energetic and client focused Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our Resourcing team, reporting to the National Talent Acquisition Manager. You will be a “people person’’ foremost with exception relationship management skills. You will be comfortable going out of your way to network within the business, bring ideas to the table and get excited about doing things differently.

We are experiencing continued growth across all of our offices and as such have an urgent need for an experienced Internal Recruitment Specialist to join us on an initial 3 month contract, with the possibility of extension.

This is an exceptionally busy role where you will be involved in resourcing for a wide range of positions, predominantly with a Sydney focus. This role will support our Firm Advisory & Services Teams and our Legal Secretarial roles. In this role you will be accountable for managing relationships with internal stakeholders and establishing cost effective strategies to source and attract talent to Sparke Helmore, whilst continuing to build our employer brand.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Writing recruitment advertisements
  • Utilising a broad range of direct sourcing channels to attract talent to Sparke Helmore. This will include proactive sourcing such as professional networking and targeted attraction of talent
  • Resume and Telephone screening applicants
  • Participating in interviews and or coaching hiring managers on interview practices
  • Reference Checking
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to identify and implement retention strategies
  • Providing regular reporting and market insight to stakeholders
  • Working on targeted Recruitment projects to enhance the recruitment offering internally

As part of this high performing team, you will deliver excellence in customer service to internal managers and candidates alike.

To be considered for this role you will possess:

  • A solid background in legal recruitment, between 2 to 5 years, either in internal recruitment or a recruitment agency, internal experience preferred
  • Experience in the recruitment of legal support and secretarial roles is essential
  • Experience in executing strategic sourcing approaches, professional networking and Referral programs is essential
  • A strong focus in supporting and driving diversity and inclusion activities in recruitment
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a Business, Commerce or HR field
  • A detailed understanding of the law firm market
  • Exposure and or experience in implementing retention strategies
  • Excellent client relationship building skills
  • A professional communication style, combined with excellent written skills
  • A proactive approach and demonstrable problem solving ability

The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks while still providing superior client service to internal and external stakeholders.
