SCEI is currently seeking an HR Officer to work closely with the HR / Operations Manager across all functions of HR.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in HR with 2+ years' HR experience in a Generalist role as well as prior experience working in the Education industry.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, updating and maintaining staff files
  • Completing the recruitment process, including but not limited to:
    • Posting Job Advertisement on Seek and Indeed
    • Resume review and shortlisting
    • Phone screening and interview scheduling
    • Interviewing
    • Reference checking
    • Negotiating terms
    • Inducting new staff
  • Drafting offer letters and contracts of employment
  • Drafting position descriptions and job ads
  • Documenting performance reviews and other employee relations matters
  • Responding to staff queries where possible/ appropriate
  • General HR Administration
  • Attending relevant meetings
  • Checking and assisting staff with timesheets
  • Researching Awards and Legislation
  • Updating HR and policy and procedure documents
  • Supporting HR/ Operations Manager in any other ad hoc duties

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources
  • 2+ years' experience in an HR role
  • Previous experience in the education industry would be considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of employment legilslation and awards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent English
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise daily workload
  • Discretion and confidentiality
