Murdoch University is a young, innovative and enterprising university committed to both the production of world class scholarly research and student learning. With a student body of more than 18,000 and over 2,000 employees, the University has 3 campuses in Perth and Centres in Singapore and Dubai.
An opportunity exists for an outstanding human resource professional to play a key role in leading the University through the next stage of its development and evolution. The appointee will report to the Chief Operating Officer and lead a team of around 46 staff and a budget of in excess of $4 million. They will work to develop and implement a contemporary people and culture strategy which supports the university in achieving its strategic objectives.
Experience and exposure to all aspects of the human resource portfolio and outstanding staff management skills are essential. Particular experience in the areas of leadership development and cultural change are vital as the appointee works with the leadership team to build capability across the organisation. Exposure to the education sector would be advantageous however what is more critical is that the appointee can bring an innovative approach to a large and complex environment.
