About Mai-Wel

The Mai-Wel Group is a large regional provider of disability services, focused on enhancing lives through opportunity and choice. Mai-Wel supports more than 1,500 participants across seven Local Government Areas.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will:

Be a true HR generalist as you partner with the business to enable our people to reach their full potential. Your mature approach, autonomy and ability to build strong working relationships skills will play a vital role in providing support throughout Mai-Wel’s business units at various Maitland and Cessnock locations.

Working as part of a collaborative and dedicated team, you will deliver:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate people and performance activities such as recruitment, onboarding, talent management, engagement, performance and employee relations
  • Provide timely and practical advice on HR policy and procedures, award interpretation and employee related enquiries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate HR documentation, compliance and reporting
  • Facilitate and support staff in WHS practices and return to work coordination.
  • Contribute to the innovation of HR’s processes for service delivery and other key HR initiatives.

Please ensure your application demonstrates the following selection criteria:

  • Qualification in Human Resources and/or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in a HR generalist or business partnering role.
  • A proven track record in understanding and applying relevant legislation relating to employment, WHS and industrial relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate confidence to manage correspondence across a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience with technology and MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • High level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
