This large, complex public sector organisation has a strong mandate to create a diverse, inclusive and flexible workforce that reflects the community and customers it serves now and into the future. It has an exciting opportunity for a strategic, yet “hands-on” leader to engage with senior leaders to build and implement contemporary programs.
About the Role
Reporting to Director, People & Strategy, and with a small team, you will partner with senior leadership teams and senior people practitioners. You will be accountable for leading the development, delivery and review of D&I strategies, programs and practices for the organisation to ensure alignment with business objectives. Your day to day activities will include:
- Partnering with teams to drive effective implementation of D & I strategies and programs by serving as the subject matter expert on D & I and driving programs to ensure commitment to, and implementation of D & I initiatives.
- Providing expert advice and support to management groups on D & I to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and ensure there is alignment across the broader business groups
- Leading the development and implementation of strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of D & I initiatives and other activities
- Leading the workforce research and analysis into current trends emerging from data and drawing on best practice to establish an evidence base to identify approaches and systems which supports business objectives
Tertiary qualified, you have a great track record of delivering organisation change programs which have included diversity & inclusion across a large, complex business. You are strategically focussed with an operational approach and have outstanding stakeholder management and leadership skills. This role will enable you to “cut the ribbon” on new programs and the organisation will provide you with many career development opportunities.
