Your New Company is a long term employer in the heavy materials handling field and has a number of facilities throughout Australia. Highly successful they are continuing their commitment to promoting a completely safe work environment by expanding their WHS capability. The company has a long history of growth and a proven track record of safety.
Your New Role will take national responsibility for all aspects of health, wellness and fitness for work. You will be responsible for all documentation and compliance, however the real work will be done away from the desk being involved in day to day training, advising and support. You will be involved in all risk assessment, workers comp matters, injury prevention processes and strategies as well as fitness for work testing and verification. They role will very quickly move to a manager status for the right candidate.
Who you are. You are tertiary qualified with a relevant WHS qualification and will also have some training qualification or a strong track record in training. You will have proven experience in Workers Comp and/or Occupational Health.
Most importantly you have excellent communications skills and will be expert in influencing change in an industrial environment. You will have a strong desire to be ab active player in the operation not just a desk jockey.
