About the role
An exciting opportunity to take a strategic leadership role to support Red Cross’ workforce to be empowered, engaged, accountable and recognised for the delivery of humanitarian outcomes.
Reporting to the Director Strategy, People & Performance, you will provide thought leadership and delivery through our national HR team in every state and territory. The team includes Work Health and Safety, Recruitment, Payroll, HR Workforce systems, Remuneration and state based HR operational teams.
You will lead our HR team to implement simple and integrated people frameworks, policies, processes and systems to support outstanding organisational and individual capability. As a member of the directorate leadership team, you will work collectively with the Heads of Strategy & Culture, Performance & Evidence, Government Relations, Legal and the CIO to deliver on the organisations strategic outcomes.
What you will bring
- Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic HR frameworks, policies and approaches that contribute to organisation-wide outcomes
- Be a strong strategic thinker with the ability to develop and effectively implement sound, pragmatic business solutions
- Experience in leading and developing a national HR function and embedded operational HR teams in a complex and changing environment
- Proven leadership experience in supporting and implementing industrial and legislative requirements in a federal, state and local context
- Be an excellent communicator, with proven ability to influence and negotiate at a senior organisational level
